The Diocese of Jalandhar owns and administers a number of convent schools in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh under the dynamic leadership of the Bishop of the Diocese of Jalandhar: One of the main objectives of the Diocese is to impart quality and value based education to every child in all nooks and corner of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. ST. JOSEPH’S CONVENT SCHOOL, Nawanshahr is an English Medium School founded under the aeigs of the Diocese of Jalandhar and was established on 17th July 2003, and officially inaugurated on 13th January 2006.

Dear Students and Teachers, Welcome to the new school year 2020-21! Our commitment at St. Joseph’s Convent School is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower our students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century. High standards and expectations for each student with regard to academic performance, co-curricular participation, and responsible citizenship are the foundation of our school. It is with pride that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to commit to maintaining the extraordinary record of achievement and contribution that has been the legacy of the students of St. Joseph’s Convent School. It is the contribution of our students to our school community that makes this school an exceptional learning community. Full participation in academic and co-curricular programs and a willingness to act with responsibility as an individual within our educational environment are the factors that enable all to have a successful and enjoyable year. At St. Joseph’s Convent School, we focus on complete development of our students by involving them in both scholastic and co-scholastic activities as suggested by ICSE. I am sure this will help our students to realize, understand and explore their talents. In order to do this, the parents and the school must work together to inculcate certain values in the students. Let us follow our students to develop physically and mentally in every field of learning. Students imbibe a lot of values when they are involved in Sports and Games. Some of these life skills and values cannot be taught in the classroom or at home. St. Joseph’s provides enough opportunities for our children to participate in sports and games and all other extra-curricular activities. Keeping in view of the overall development of our students we have selected the motto of the year “Confidence, Commitment and Competence”. Let the blessings of God be upon each one of us so that we may have the Confidence and Commitment to Compete in every situation in order to be successful in life.
